I had the privilege to work with Rian Fuller Photography and capture my first Australian and American wedding. I must say it was quite a celebration, all their friends and family knew how to throw down and truly celebrate this couple.
How do you embrace two cultures? You celebrate! You recognize humanity connects people that are all across the world. I saw this while traveling last year. You see the diversity all across America, but how do we truly celebrate our differences and embrace who are as humans?
I loved watching this couple, the love they had for one another and that influenced their families and friends. Love goes further than we think at times. Love is something that we all desire and want from others. Love is not for just one kind of group, but for everyone.
That is why I really really like capturing weddings. You get to see all kinds of people that come together and commit to each other for the rest of their lives. To choose love. Choosing love isn't easy, it can be hard at times, but that is what makes it so beautiful at the same time. You lay down yourself for the other person, you fight to put others before you. Love makes us someone greater. Love pushes you to be the best you can be, for yourself and for others.
This parade was one of my favorite things about this wedding. The sound of a bagpipe, flags fluttering around the air, confetti sprinkling in all directions, and neighbors contributing to the celebration as well. Rain or shine, Hannah and Luke were celebrating their day wildly!
